Starling feeding on Flax Flowers

I'm always amazed at how complex and beautiful the colourings are on the 'common starling'. From a distance they don't look like much at all, just nearly black, but up close they're gorgeous!

I've put a 2nd one into Extras - just to show off that plumage.

My flaxes are flowering profusely this year. It's quite amazing.
