Still Golden

The air this time of year is so clear and crisp, it almost crackles like the frost underneath your feet.

The ground was frozen today, usually muddy and churned up the dozens of horses that now roam this area, their hooves now clattering across the icy patches, snuffling noises of tufts of cold grass being pulled up as though sniffing out truffles as they try to get a grasp on a grassy meal.

I took many pictures of the horses but nothing stood as proud and resplendent as this tree, it's brown leaves golden and bronze in the beautiful low sunlight.

A great day to be outside, albeit too briefly!

We're due snow any minute now apparently...
