A very sad day.

Today we had to say goodbye to Polo our cat who was only 12 years old.

She has been unwell for a few weeks with sickness but was getting better from that, only 3-4 days ago she showed massive signs of being confused. Last night she had a seizure in my arms and we took her straight to the vets, but they had to send her to Dick Whites in Newmarket for a brain scan. We took her last night, but during today’s MRI scan they could see she had a massive tumour in her brain and they could not operate or give chemo or radiation therapy. So we made the heart breaking decision to put her to sleep. A horrible decision to have to make. Guinio the vet said tonight when we collected her to bring her home to bury her, we must have no regrets, only good memories. He did tell us no more tears but I am afraid I cannot stick with that one.

I am hoping she is safe and warm and with her brother Twigs who died 6 years ago, and hoping she has no pain and can now chase mice to her hearts content, lay in the flowers and sun herself all day long
