Tynemouth

Thank you to everyone who faved and starred yesterday's entry - it managed page 1 of the popular page!

This one looks best large on black (but don't they all!)

I gave a lecture tonight to Gosforth Camera Club in Newcastle - chaired by DavidC, so I drove over early, visited the Barbour factory outlet - almost spent a lot! - then popped out to Tynemouth for a blip.

This shot was taken with a medium-edged 0.9 ND grad and a little stopper - which gave me a 20 second exposure, but then I did a 10-shot multi-exposure to extend the shutter speed to 200 seconds. Fortunately I'd packed a really sturdy tripod as it was blowing a hooley!

I did like the movement in the clouds and the soft textures of the waves breaking over the rocks.
