The palace of peace and reconciliation

A press trip to Kazakhstan in December - what can go wrong! It’s actually been fun so far but extremely cold, I’m not sure what the exact temperature has been but -10 seems not too far from it.

We had the first of two days sightseeing tours today including the Norman Forster designed palace of peace and reconciliation. It’s quite an eccentric building shoes like a pyramid. In the lowered levels was a theatre and actors were preparing for a show. This dramatic performance combined with our guide’s flight attendant style uniform was too good not to Blip. Tomorrow I will try to get a snowy one outside. Lovely people, food and drink so far.
