Earache MyEyeInA Nutshell

Station Approach

Tonight we went to see Elbow at the O2 Arena. As usual they were most excellent with their melancholy but also positive songs about life and love (the pic is of them performing Starlings). Guy Garvey gives all other frontmen in rock a lesson on how to connect with an audience every time he walks onstage.
Arenas aren't usually the ideal place to watch bands but the O2 does actually make it a pleasant experience. And we never knew there was quite a bit of other stuff to do there too. For instance, you could go to the British Music Experience in the morning, have some lunch, see a film in the afternoon, have some tea, see a band at night in either the arena or Indigo venues.
I didn't much fancy the crush on the Tube on the way home but it's organised incredibly efficiently and we comfortably got on the first train to come to the platform.
So, a jolly good night out in London's throbbing East End.
