A gloomy start to the day

We had a very gray morning today but it was not raining so I decided to take a walk just in case the rain decided to come back.    I was watching the clouds as I strolled down the road with the dog and decided to do a little trespassing.    The subdivision that is just below the house toward the lake has a clubhouse and marina with a dock that people store their boats.  I knew these islands were just off the dock (and actually east if the sun had been shining) with the clouds making some interesting displays.    I was really happy to see the birds (a heron and some ducks) in the water too.   Only had the phone..darn it!...but it did okay with the photos.

You can see the little parts of the land showing here as they have drawn the lake way down because of all the rain we have had here in our state.  They normally do this in the winter anyway to kill any noxious weeds that grows along the lake shore under the water.   

Sometimes it pays to trespass just a little.
