Mulled Hobblers

What a busy day!  We heard from Becky that their flight from the US in to Heathrow had arrived ahead of schedule and she was home by 11am!   Quite jet lagged, she enjoyed a long bath and then a walk on the moor with Tony before Sunday roast and yorkshire puddings.  Meanwhile I made a batch of mince pies and some gingerbread cookies, then it was a bit of down time before I put on the running gear, took my headtorch and jogged down to meet a small band of Hobblers.  We were running to Saltaire, via Beckfoot Ford, Dowley Gap and a pitch black canal,  to look at the Advent Windows  and we managed to see quite a few of them, some very creative, before the rain began and we headed to the bar, 'Don't Tell Titus' for mulled wine and hot chocolate.  It's called 'Don't Tell Titus' because the World Heritage Village of Saltaire was also Methodist and Titus Salt, the mill owner, did not allow any alcohol.  The bar has been recently refurbished and was very welcoming, as was the yummy mulled wine.

It was heaving with rain when we emerged and we had to run to the train station where we were picked up by Tony and Paul.  Another fun outing with lovely Hobblers!
