Hebden Bridge Station Signal Box is Grade II listed.  Built in 1891, it retains the original Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway lever frame which is still in use.
It is being decommissioned by Network Rail who have planning permission to remove the steps and put grilles over the windows - !!!
However there is a 'Hebden Bridge Signal Box Preservation Group' being formed.
It would be tragic to see the signal box out of use, boarded up and a target for vandalism - the Graffiti Morons have already started.....
