"Ich danke Ihnen lieber Herr."

"Thank you kind sir."

This shot took a bit of patience as I watched through the glass storm door for the precise moment. It's really cold and blustery today, so the squirrels eagerly snatched up the peanuts until the prize in the nutcracker's mouth was almost the last one left. I've had this nutcracker for years, it was a gift from Mary, my former teaching partner. She and her husband were living in Germany, land of fabulous Christmas markets. There are many treasured ornaments on our tree that I also bought in Germany during the summer of 1980 when I visited them.

For the Record,
This day came in cold and blustery after a very windy night.

All hands busy
