Tears of Joy

Someone said, "Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond to it." Blipfoto is a simple way to capture that 10-percent and share it with wonderful people all over the world.

This piece of pop art is by Roy Lichtenstein. His hallmark style, hand painting commercially printed benday dots, are a wry commentary on modern living. Lichtenstein’s paintings are  ironic or satirical accounts of art history, to deflate the egos and pretensions of high modernism. This one from 1962 is called, "I'm sad".  At the moment, the only thing I am sad about is that I haven't taken the time to comment on the amazing photographs people share with me as often as I should.
