College of Horticulture, Forestry and Enterprise

19th December 2018:

Today our girls got a view of the magic that is our farm in Lusangazi. 
Here they are with Robert looking at some lemon seedlings which have ready  been  budded with one of the many citrus varieties we have available.
They will come here for a broader experience than we have in Luwinga.
They will learn to bud and graft and all the practical elements from our very experienced staff. It will be almost all practical here with the academic going on at our Centre for Learning.

They will be introduced to over 100 varieties of fruit and vegetables and get a chance to bring some home with them to begin their Enterprise element of their course.

Trees and Forestry will be the basis of their potential Business Start-ups, but flowers and shrubs will add to a large variety of possibilities. I am really excited about the possibilities for these young women. 
We will all do our best, so its up to them to set limits or just go for it.

They will have few examples where they come from, but it is amazing what can be achieved with their own determination and the confidence we all have in them.

Today they go home with some orange seedlings.
