Paulanergate

Well, it has been quite a day to finish off the working year - at least the Office one.

Most of that day revolved around being in Parliament for First Minister’s Questions just after noon. It was my first live experience of it - tickets have to be booked a long way in advance. It was fascinating. The difference between what you can see on TV and live is like the difference between TV coverage of sports events and the real thing.

Of course very little makes its way onto TV news. 10 seconds out of 45 minutes, if that.

For Scottish Blippers, or those who follow our politics, Wee Willie Rennie and Richard Leonard are worse live, if that is imaginable. Jackson Carlaw was better than on TV, but that could be because I couldn’t see him very well. Nicola Sturgeon seemed to be below her best - tired.

The Blip is the Boss’ office in Parliament - those office floors are not accessible on the public tour. It was taken from the outer staff area in front of it which has two workstations.

The extra is a rogues gallery which my colleagues have created on one wall of the staff outer office - I suspect a collaboration between the Ingolstadt Intern and the American Intern.

Out of all the ones of me they could have chosen, why the Oktoberfest?
