Stilt

Given its pose, I'm pretty confident that this is a Stilt, female and sleeping. My last picture from Umkhuze had to be of a bird, given their abundance (and also that my giraffe pictures for today are a bit blurrier than expected). It was a lot cooler this morning after a storm and we did about a 4 hour game drive, not much at the first two hides we visited though so we headed to iNsumo pan again to say Cheerio to the hippos. That's a great spot.
Then it was another few hours drive back down the road to overnight in Piet Retief. Dinner for me was chicken livers, mutton curry and Striped Horse IPA, a combo that stayed with me for most of the night!
