Landing approach

This pelican was circling the small beach below the Esplanade and at this point did a right bank eventually coming into land on the beach to join two others. It was a perfect Goldylocks sort of Summer day, at 28C, not too hot, not too cold, but just right with a mild sea breeze. There were lots of people out enjoying the weather and a couple walking on the Esplanade stopped and told me how they had stopped at a town north of here on a river a while back and were sitting down in a park enjoying some fish and chips. The man was surprised when he felt a large beak around his arm up to his elbow. A pelican had gone for the food in his hand biting off a bit more than he could chew. After extracting his arm, he chased the pelican off throwing chips at it. Maybe it was just a ploy by the Pelican to get the chips.
