The King of services from an architectural point of view. That fabulous hexagonal tower was known as "the Pennine tower". It's such a shame it closed so long ago I never had the chance to enjoy its apparently sweeping views of Morecambe Bay.

As the wind was blowing at about 70000000 knots I eschewed the tower for the bridge which obviously had to be photographed as all motorway services bridges do
