Missus

Went over to Dunfermline for the fitba' - on our way up throught the park I thought to have a closer look at the plaque on the bandstand (see extra). It was "Presented by Mrs Andrew Carnegie on her first visit to Dunfermline. 1887". That was news even to the indigeneous DaveH. The much lauded new playpark can be glimpsed in the background.

After a strangely exciting nil-nil draw (against Ayr who played good football in spite of their away strip being in eye-watering pink), we went for a meal in town with young Mike before heading back. Had an excellent meal at Ashiqs in Bridge St. Then found (of course) that a couple of trains had been cancelled, so got a taxi to Inverkeithing where there's more choice.
