TAT IN THE DRIZZLE

Went downtown this afternoon to buy wrapping paper - our local shops have run out!

Was expecting to find it heaving with last minute punters - but the place was almost empty & tragically tatty.

I positioned myself so as to at least to take in some decent buildings, but Anspach which was such a vibrant Boulevard has become an aesthetic disaster was too gloomy to photo.

Came home to wrap up presents & make a fabulous pumpkin soup - featuring onions, garlic, white wine, orange juice & a magic ingredient - Seville orange marmalade. Finish off with parsley & chives & and a generous dollop of fresh cream.
