Buying strawberries – Christmas Eve morning

A friend and I have done this for the past few years -  we have gone to the berry farm early morning and bought strawberries for ourselves and others and have them spent a few hours delivering the berries to our friends and having a bit of a social catch up in the process.  We are a bit like the Three Little Pigs.  Each year getting there earlier and earlier.  This year because of the rain which has damaged the strawberries, we got there at 7:10 am to make sure we got enough for our needs. The berry farm hadn’t opened by this time so we stood in a line until it opened.  It’s a lovely atmosphere spending the wait time chatting to people we don’t know.
