Christmas Eve

There was a very happy atmosphere in the village this morning. There were mothers doing their last minute shopping, families out together with dads wearing Santa hats and late deliveries coming in. The girls at the tills had reindeer horns on their heads, and to add to the holiday mood, the shop was selling hot cross buns!
Our little craft shop has had this lovely model village in its window throughout December - not Christmassy but very pretty.
Our Christmas is slow to start, with our family not coming until Boxing Day. We will have a quiet day tomorrow, making a few phone calls, setting the Christmas table and making the bread sauce.
