In reality, we (Chilli and Silva included!) spent Christmas morning sunning ourselves on the beach at Cannes and the afternoon sunning ourselves in the garden, and are now hungrily waiting for the chicken - a smoked one (kind of by accident as we didn't know what 'poularde fermiere jaune' meant until we were committed to buying it) - to be cooked...
