The saga of the pheasants
M met an irate elderly neighbour this morning.
Why had M given his middle-aged bachelor son a brace of pheasants?
They had spent Christmas de-feathering the kitchen and half the house and ended up burying the birds as the son discovered there is more to plucking a bird than meets the eye.
Well, I had warned M that it would be a mistake to offer this bachelor some pheasants but would he listen? No.
Very few people under the age of 60 have any idea how to feather and gut a bird.
We have had a quiet day in Bridge of Allan.
Hoping you all are having a wonderful festive season.
Photo: I realize the challenge of Christmas lights has finished but I couldn’t resist this colourful house.
