Christmas Cake

Being a 'perfect' mum is impossible but we do our best and often there are hidden costs that no one sees. So we ended up making our Christmas cake late tonight as it was the only time I could get everyone available for the stirring in of our magic wishes. Everyone happily tucked up in bed including husband. I on the other hand have to wait up for the cake which will finish baking at between 12:30 and 1:30 on the morrow. Bear in mind I am an early to bed gal, I am drooping already. I will just have to use this time to catch up on the real housewives of New York, yes silver lining and perhaps a small glass of port or two.
