Be prepared!

Every year, about this time, the schedule for the local show is published.  As well as an Agricultural section there is an Industrial and Horticultural one.  It means that during the long dark winter you know what handicrafts you should be turning your hand to, as well as what seeds to sow, which plants to nurture, what baking you should be practising.

This year we noticed there is no "Men's Handicraft" class, a sign of the times!  Also no "Adult Handwriting", presumably for the same excuse, but a slightly different reason. There are children's classes "Hama Bead" creations which is a new one for me, but reassuringly there are still both juvenile and adult classes for the Best Fruit or Vegetable Animal!  Always a crowd-pleaser!
