Dunfermline

Falkirk's last league game of 2018 was a home match against rivals Dunfermline, whose supporters greeted their team with a fine display of coordinated red, black and white flags (pictured) as the teams took to the field.

Within two minutes of the kick-off, though, the home team had scored and we all dared to believe. It wasn't too long, however, before Dunfermline scored twice, and then two other goals in the second half gave the visitors a 4-1 lead.

Many Falkirk fans decided enough was enough and left the stadium well before the end of the match. They missed Falkirk's second goal, but no miraculous turn-around as Dunfermline saw out the game comfortably to win 4-2.

So the end of 2018 and the mid-point of the current season sees the Bairns bottom of the league, a side without confidence and with few hopeful signs that things will improve.

Looks like I might get to visit some new locations next season. Every cloud..., eh?
