Vegetarians turn away now. For the rest, dear barbeque fans, not much comes close to a ''sheep on a spit'. I once had served to me a sheep barbequed in a pit (an "earth oven") in Kazakhstan, which is probably the tastiest barbecue experience I've ever had. This one came close though. However, I think that the Greek format, lamb kleftiko, marinated and cooked very slowly in a traditional oven, is the best thing one can do to lamb. The chef in picture told me he grew up cooking goat meat in Zimbabwe.
