"You have no food, you say?"

I do like sheep!  

With all the rain recently, the hens' pen is getting a bit muddy and unpleasant, so this morning I went up to the sheep shed to get them some fresh clean straw.

The expectant mothers were very happy to see me.  I think they were expecting their owner with more feed for them!  Lots of calling and baa-ing, and a bit of jostling to get a good spot at the feed fence.  I was a bit of a disappointment! I stood and watched them for ages . . .   I do like sheep. 

Spent the afternoon in my hut, with my knitting and the radio. It is so snug and cosy in there, especially as now that I have electricity so have a heater and a proper light, and a sheepskin rug on my chair!  It is a wonderful den!
