A bad start

Left home at 8am to drive to York, but had a brief comfort stop in Inveraray. Considering that this town is one of the gems of Argyll I think that the pier  could be a little better looked after. In a bit of a bad state anyway, it's closed off with safety barriers, the mine (or whatever it is) is rusty and needs a lick of paint and the rubbish bins don't add to the charm of the area. You can tell I was in a moaning mood!

Driving along Loch Lomondside later on I was in even more of a moaning mood! There's so much rubbish spread along the roadsides and in the laybys where it's obviously dumped from vehicles. Whatever do the tourists think? The Bonny, Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond? No way. About time the government did something about educating the brainless boneheads who leave all this mess as it's obvious that their parents don't!

Sorry about that - I'll try not to moan about York!
