Happy New Year, Blip-pals

A bright and early start to 2019 had me waiting for a lift from a good parkrun pal, to get to Newbiggin for my first ever New Year's Day parkrun. It was a first visit to this course, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite having a couple of short sections on sand, and a couple of flights of stairs to ascend.
Thrilled to record 22:04, without pushing too hard, then we piled back into the car to head north and do it all again at Druridge Bay. (see extras)
Another new course for me, and another beauty. A delightful two laps of the country park lake, completed in a very satisfying 21:55. Just under 44 minutes for the two combined times: a dream start to 2019
We retired to the café, which was open, and celebrated our achievements with hot chocolate, Christmas cake and a little drop of something naughty, (15 year old Glenmorangie, if you really need to know :o) )
