Life in a Northern Town

The 3 Amigos Hit the Heights

Photographing 3 tiny dogs and the tallest freestanding structure in the UK  (24th tallest tower in the world) is not easy - thank you to my willing assistant John who provided the disembodied hand! I think the Amigos were impressed with Emley Moor Mast - especially as there is a 2nd temporary mast next to it at the moment to allow for repairs. The tower dominates the horizon around Huddersfield, and when spotted from the M1 means the end of a long drive home.

From there we took the Amigos to meet Grandpa in Wakefield - see extras. Grandpa was a bit bemused but nonetheless allowed the Amigos to help him with a bit of organ playing - he couldn't find the music to 'How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?" but he played them the good old British classic "Oh I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside' instead.

Back home in Huddersfield and the Amigos have met David on his return from London, and they're now having a snooze to recover from all the festivities. They might possibly come with us to the Wildlife Rescue tomorrow to meet a hedgehog - or they might have a long lie in instead........
