Ambleside at 9.30 am. It wasn't much busier at midday. 

It was a lovely sunny day and I guess that people got up late after the New Year celebrations then either nursed their hangover or headed to the lakes and hills. 

I had a long list of jobs to do, including a mid morning and an afternoon phone call, so the shops were as far as I got with the resulting phone blip.

Throat feels like sandpaper resulting in loss of appetite. Should be good for the New Year diet.
