Jake's Journal

Dealing with a squiffy sleeping pattern is difficult on the lead up to exams.

Especially when the squiffy sleeping pattern combines itself with and renewed insatiable interest in a subject entirely unrelated to your course. Mine being North Korea. It's too easy to while away the hours ploughing the web for articles and films about the secret state.

Rectifying the pattern of sleep though is no easy feat. You are faced with two options; force yourself to get up really early which means a long day trying not to fall asleep and dribble on your computer in the library, or go to bed early only to toss, turn and perpetually swap pillows all night.

Either way you wake up with a foggy, unproductive head. Nowadays I spend most of my days feeling sleepy until bed time, when I wake up.
