Curlew Preening

Numenius arquata, on the edge of Kirkwall Bay. There were  oystercatcher, redshank, snipe and red-breasted merganser there too and lots of goldeneye, wigeon, mallard and very noisy long-tailed ducks which were living up to there local name of 'callyoos', on the nearby Peedie Sea.
