The Rosyth Ice Rink...

With Bethany heading up to the hospital for a pre-arranged appointment I had to take Ewan to school which is a nice wee change and good to get a wee bit of Ewan time even if it was brief.

The downside however was that I had to take the bus to get to and from work. It did allow me a wee bit of extra time to do some things that can't really be done on the bike commute, I reckon crochetting is probably quite hard on two wheels, but the route home on the second crammed and slow bus reminded me that getting to work is so much easier on bike.

The local boating** pond has been emptied for the winter but there was a bit of residual water left in the bottom which in this recent frozen temperatures has almost provided us with a free ice rink. It's certainly very popular in the 20 minutes before the school bell goes.

**The pond does actually get some boating action during the summer but it's model boats as opposed to any aquatic leisure vehicules.
