Life in a Northern Town

Afternoon Tea at Betty's

Today the 3 Amigos returned to York, which they have visited previously with jankerman, and they were treated to Afternoon Tea at Betty's. They particularly enjoyed the chicken and tarragon sandwiches, the rose scones   and the chocolate cake shaped like  Santa's sleigh (which the waitress gave a very fancy name to). They also enjoyed being able to skip the queue and go straight to the table... See extras for some close ups.

As it was a stunning day they then did some exploring. Some swearing might have been heard from the photographer at the low sun, massive contrast in light conditions, very wide buildings and the necessity to faff about with umpteen bags, but overall she enjoyed the day, especially the champagne....

In extras you can see the Amigos (along with the ever willing John) at The Minster, Clifford's Tower and exploring the city walls. Trigger would have liked to have tried out the chocolate fountain in the chocolate museum but there have already been too many food related Blips....

(Today John and I had the unique experience of being out gallivanting while both the kids were at work!)
