A meet up with the daughter and her big yellah scarf at our favourite Nero. And then I strolled off - to the Modern Art Gallery to see the second film in Wael Shawky’s Cabaret Crusades trilogy: The Path to Cairo. And given that it’s 60 minutes long and plays on a loop, how lucky was I that it had about three minutes to go when I arrived.
And yes, it’s well worth viewing, though a passing knowledge of the life of Fakhr al-Mulk Radwan wouldn’t go amiss. And Tancred. At least when Baldwin appeared you could think, ah yes Baldwin. Baldwin the second, of course.
