Resolutions

Essence of dragon wing

These are the wings, all completed and drying. I thought it made a good abstract sculpture when viewed upside down. They should be dry enough to go in the kiln with the next bisque firing on the 16th. Fingers crossed they will come out in one piece!

I'm experimenting with paper clay (flax fibre grog), which really does work well for sculpting, as you can keep adding new clay to the drying form, with a bit of moisture and scoring, and it really bonds perfectly. Also less shrinkage and more structural rigidity.

Now on to cleaning up the studio so I'll be ready to do the glazing in a dust-free environment when it comes out of the kiln.
