The Lion

I was sitting in an SNP Parliamentary Group meeting at lunchtime today in a room in the Parliament that looks out towards The Palace of Holyroodhouse.

I must have seen this a thousand times - it is the heraldic lion that sits over the entrance to the Queen’s Gallery at the Palace - but until today I don’t think I had ever looked at it properly.

I just had to get a picture , but I did wait till the end of the meeting !
