Triumph Heralds

The rear car was our means of transport back in the 1940s and Dad kept the closer one (same model) for spare parts, being a mechanic.  Mum, Dad and I sewed a new hood for it out of canvas after it was peppered with holes from a hail storm - this was quite a feat.

We had a heavy duty Singer treadle sewing machine.   It was just a straight sewer. A few years later I sewed my own wedding dress on it.  Looking back over a bit of history today.
