Regiment Of The Line

These are some of my Dad's model soldiers.  They are Hussars. a cavalry regiment, my Dad was in the 8th Hussars, so these models were very precious to him.  Line Cavalry Regiments in the 19th century were some of the main regiments in the British Army, along with Guards, Dragoons and Lancers.
I have given the shot a coloured pencil filter for today's Abstract Thursday challenge, hosted by Ingeborg. with the theme of line.
Weather has taken a turn for the worst this afternoon.  I am sitting here watching the houses across the road disappearing into the fog.
