Smart Meter

A day of waiting in today (well this afternoon anyway).

A few months ago I requested a Smart Meter to be fitted and finally today it was fitted. It meant having the electricity off for around an hour and the gas being off as well for a while.

All went smoothly and now I don't have to read the meter anymore.

Interestingly, back in the mid 1980s I had an interview for a job at EMI in Treorcy who were developing a remote meter reading system, so it's not taken too long for it to be taken up!
