Zoo Friday!

Met my Mum at the zoo, and after renewing my membership we headed straight for the new butterfly house. We were the only ones in there apart from a very friendly volunteer, a couple of Galapagos tortoises and of course the butterflies.

There were 5 or 6 of these huge owl butterflies either fluttering around, resting or on the fruit  dishes. It was amazing to see them flying about as they're massive, with wings like a small bird really.

We were going to look in the book hut, but rain put us off, so we just headed for the cafe instead.
