The Old Forge (Friday 11th January 2019)

This bird bath is another Christmas present, now in place in my front yard. There's a William Blake inscription around the rim which doesn't show in this picture, but will appear in a future blip.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Radiohead - The Bodysnatchers (recorded October-November 2006, Tottenham House, Marlborough)
In October  2006 Radiohead headed to Tottenham House, a dilapidated privately owned location on the edge of Savernake Forest, discovered by their producer Nigel Godrich. He thought that the location's "uncomfortable" atmosphere would transfer creatively into the recording sessions.
Godrich and the band worked for three weeks there while camping out in caravans surrounding the house and the experience led to some highly productive work that included the versions of the songs Jigsaw and Bodysnatchers  that were on the subsequent album In Rainbows.
Lead singer Thom Yorke said Bodysnatchers was "a little bit like Neu!
meets dodgy hippy rock." He said it was inspired by Victorian ghost stories, The Stepford Wives and his own feeling of "your physical consciousness trapped without being able to connect fully with anything else."
I only recently bought the album, having never heard it in full, and have been listening to it today.
