Window Shopping

A brief wander round Stockbridge, not looking for anything in particular but I did pick up some strawberries. Seems strange at this time of year and to be honest they're a bit tasteless, fine for fruit salad though.
Then up to the allotment again and had a look at the bedraggled strawberry beds there. I think a lot of the plants are past it now (more than 3 years old) and need replaced. I've been bringing on new plants from runners but those haven't produced much fruit so maybe a major overhaul is needed. I'll think about it. In the meantime I just strimmed, raked, pruned out the old rasp canes and tidied up a bit. Easy work and it's good for the soul!
