Waxwings

A flock of Cedar Waxwings was enjoying the yard this morning. I heard them before I actually could get out with my camera. They are 'vacationing' for the winter here in North Central Florida. I see them occasionally around town but this is a first for our yard! We have a large American Holly tree covered with berries and several Cedar trees, also with berries, which acted as magnets to the flock. After dining they headed to our pond and enjoyed a splashing good time in the bog! Then up into the trees to dry off and to gather the flock before they departed in search of more berries. They are such beautiful birds and I really love their calls. Cedar Waxwing Calls What a beautiful morning!
Wishing You All a Peaceful Week!
