Egrets

There are several empty lots across the street from my house. They are the remnants of Hurricane Katrina. Homes were destroyed; people left; some never came back.
But because of that, the lots are visited by birds and waterfowl.
Egrets are there a lot, sometimes in flocks, as was the case today.
I tried to get as close as I could without scaring them away. But not close enough.
