Water lilies

We have a pond out the front of our place. It used to be a fish pond, until years and years ago the heat of summer, and our forgettingness, led to it drying out completely ... poor fishies. :( Since then it’s been pretty manky, to the point we decided we’d fill it with soil and plant some colourful things.

We hadn’t got around to that, and the rain came and filled it to the brim. After a while we noticed some lily pads - more than in the past.

Nek minit, these flowers appeared. Utterly gorgeous.
