Eating the Galette des Rois

Eating the Cake of the Kings in Paris--celebrating Epiphany (or Twelfth Night).  In France it's on a day in early January, and for the occasion bakeries offer galettes (cakes), each with a paper crown to be worn by the person whose piece contains the fève  (charm or bean) hidden in the cake.  Our galette came with two crowns, which were passed around--here to  Marylee and me. Our host Thierry--a friend of Marylee's since her stay in Paris in 1991--is peeking through from behind, and his partner Aude took the blip.

Posted late next day.  We got home late.
