Striding Down

Yesterday’s weather forecasting stone at Penrith (mostly) correctly predicted dry. It was even relatively warm to start but pretty chilly (4C felt like -4C or lower) and misty on the tops.

From Patterdale, we took Nethermost East Ridge up and Striding Edge down. We kept hoping the mist would clear for a blip... and it did on Striding Edge.

It was a good day out and kept my mind occupied. I can barely begin to think how my brother is feeling. The shock sunk in a bit more today and I felt more emotional. I’ll be flying out to see and help him very soon - just waiting for news as to how long the delay might be for an autopsy or whatever....and a visa. Thank you to those who’ve sent kind words - typical blipness, thankyou.
