Bridge of Sighs across the River Cam.

The Bridge of Sighs, St John's College Cambridge, is a covered bridge designed by Henry Hutchinson and built in 1831. It links the Third Court with New Court across the river Cam. A common tale states that, within the college grounds, the sighs are those of pre-exam students as they emerge from their quarters and cross the bridge to the tutors' offices. I was surprised to find that there are still punters on the river, despite the cold and windy weather. They were well wrapped up and if you are a tourist, it's something you have to do.
